Founded in 1995, Rockwood Historical Society has been dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of our community. From our humble beginnings in  members' living rooms we have grown into a thriving organization.

The building that houses Rockwood Historical Society is a historic landmark in our community. It was originally built in 1892 and served as a church, when it was repurposed as the headquarters for Rockwood Historical Society.

Rockwood Historical Society has a diverse collection of artifacts that span the history of our community, including clothing, tools, furniture, and artwork. We also have an extensive collection of photographs and documents.

Rockwood Historical Society works with local schools to provide educational programs and resources that complement the curriculum. We offer guided tours, classroom presentations, and lesson plans that help students learn about the history of our community.
